Details:

Pretty nice for 50 years old. It is so hard to take pics of shiny things but I will do my best. On the distressed orphans I used a scotch brute sponge for grunge. They range from very nice to distressed orphans.

You know I am right.

Offer h4 condition 6. I will rate my caps from 1 to 10 and have no 10s one set of 56 ford some would say were between oh by the way none these high end been polished. An oem cap is a lot less likely to come loose going down the road.

Even when new you would be hard pressed to find a 10. Backside looks almost new. I will give it a 6. Yeah I am one of those.

I will take a lot of pictures and describe to the best my ability true condition caps. Ever notice the caps you see on side of road are usually cheapo after market. The orphans rough caps I will sell cheap so they get a good home.

These caps were stored away in an attic at a local ford dealer. Some orphan makes off used cars as well. They were mass produced and maybe 1 out of ten would be perfect at that. These caps are a bit before my time but being ford parts man manager since the early eighties I can do fair job of identifying.

Imagine what some chrome polish would do. So with that being said if you had a perfect cap back in the day and vacuum packed it for 50 years then would have ten.

The vast majority are ding free or just a two but paint has suffered on many in inserts. My double heart bypass last year also has reminded me I need to get things in order as you just never know. Pretty impressive condition on some. I had planned on passing them to my only son but leukemia took him in 2011 at just 21.

I simply hand washed them in dish soap. Even my best caps although sheltered still age as everything does. Has a small flat spot on mounting surface should be an easy fix. 5 on the 1 to 10.

I wish was in good as shape some of my caps. What is pictured you get. I am at the point in my life need to move items have collected since 70's.
